Overview

It is considered an ideal degree for students who want to pursue managerial roles and leadership positions in the future. It develops the student's practical, managerial and communication skills, the ability to manage complex business situations, especially the art of making decisions in ambiguous environments. This program incorporates practical experience in the form of case projects, presentations, industrial visits, and interaction with experts from industry.

Eligibility for BBA

All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council.

OR

Those candidates who have passed their Matriculation examination and have also passed three year Diploma in any Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh OR such Examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education OR Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal

DURATION OF COURSE

The program is spread over 6 semesters, with the fifth and sixth semester based on the candidate's chosen stream of study.

Various specializations offered are:

• Marketing : The objective of this specialization is to help students to understand consumer Consumer Behavior. In depth knowledge about Advertising and Sales Management, Consumer and Logistics Management will be provided.
• Human Resource Management : This specialization includes elaborated knowledge about Training & Development, Cross Cultural Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations & Labour Law and also Organization Change & Development.
• Finance : Its main emphasis is to help students to understand role of Financial Markets & Services and learn about Personal Financial Planning. They will get acquainted with different aspects of Direct and Indirect Tax Laws and in-depth knowledge about Corporate Accounting

Future Scope : This program is considered as a major step towards a successful business management career. BBA graduates can be employed for roles in business management and sales, Banking sector, Production supervisor, Planner and administrator .BBA graduates can also seek jobs in companies that are involved in the business of Manufacturing, Construction, Export houses, Marketing organizations ,Retail and finance and Advertising agencies.
