Overview

Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways.

Eligibility

For Regular Course : Qualifying 10+2 or equivalent examination securing passing marks with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths from a recognized University or Board.

For Lateral Entry : Passed 3 year Diploma from recognized University or Board

Programme Details

"The program is divided into eight semesters. The first year i.e. semester 1st & 2nd of the program offers subjects which are compulsory to all students along with workshop practices.

In second year i.e. semester 3rd & 4th introductory subject’s such as: Fluid Mechanics-I, Surveying, Building Materials & Construction, Rock Mechanics & Engg .Geology, Geomatics Engineering, Design of Concrete Structures-I, Irrigation Engineering-I, Structural Analysis-I, Construction Machinery & Works Management

In third year i.e. semester 5th & 6th specialized subjects like Design of Steel Structures-I, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering-I, Structural Analysis-II, Elements of Earthquake Engineering, Professional Practice, Design of Concrete Structures-II, Foundation Engineering.

In fourth and last year i.e. semester 7th & 8th, particularity in 7 th Semester some specialized subjects like Design of Steel Structures-II, Irrigation Engineering-II, Transportation Engineering-II, Project accompany with some elective subjects are added in program. In 8th semester students conduct the six month industrial training program in field.

Future scope : Job opportunities are available for B.E./B.Tech. Civil Engineering graduates in Government as well as Private sectors. Talking about Government sector, many enterprises such as
