Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Various Courses under Regular Mode
I. For admission to the Engineering Courses, 85% seats shall be open for the candidates from within the State and 15% shall be open for the candidates from outside the state.
II. Admission shall be made based on rank of JEE (Main) conducted by CBSE, New Delhi for both 85% quota for residents of Punjab and 15% quota for outside Punjab.
III. All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination from a board recognized or established by central /state government through legislation with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subject:
Those candidates who have passed diploma in any Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology Longowal (SLIET), or any such examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education.
The candidates who have passed a two-year certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET) shall be eligible.
IV. The candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination shall also be eligible to appear for counseling based on JEE (Main) merit. The admission of such candidates shall be purely provisional and shall stand cancelled, if they fail to produce their eligibility at the time of admission and such candidates shall have no claim, whatsoever, for admission to these courses through Counseling.
I. Appearing in JEE (Main) shall be compulsory for students claiming seats under 85% quota reserved for Punjab residents and also to students claiming /seats under 15% quota reserved for those outside Punjab i.e. All India. If a candidate is not able to produce his residence certificate he / she shall be considered for a 15% quota only.
II. Admission to the Engineering courses, both for 85% seats for a resident of Punjab and 15% seats for outsiders shall be made strictly based on of JEE (Main) and in case seats are not being filled under respective categories, admission may be considered based on of qualifying examination.
III. If the candidates who have taken entrance examination i.e. JEE (Main) are not available, the admission can be made on the basis of inter se merit in qualifying examination.
1 All those candidates who have passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution and have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology shall be eligible to apply.
2 All those candidates who have passed B.Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and XII standard with mathematics as a subject shall be eligible to apply.
1 Students, who have passed B.Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, shall clear subjects of Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering program along with second year subjects.
2 Students belonging to B.Sc. Stream may further note that they shall be consider only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.
All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board /University /Council.
Those candidates who have passed their Matriculation examination AND have also passed three year diploma in any Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh of such Examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education, or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal.

2 Years / 4 Semesters
3 All those candidates who have passed Bachelors Degree of minimum three year duration in any discipline from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC)
1 B.Sc. (MLS) 1st Year
2 Bachelor of Science (Medical Lab Sciences) 1st Year
3 3 Years / 6 Semesters
4 All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects and either Mathematics or Biology from recognized Board / University / Council or 10+2 with vocational course in Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Laboratory Technology with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate.
1 B.Sc. (MLS) (Lateral Entry)
2 Bachelor of Science (Medical Lab Sciences) (Lateral Entry)
3 2 Years / 4 Semesters
4 Those candidates who have passed Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Science or Pharmacy from recognised Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or such Examination from any other recognised State Board of Technical Education with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate.
